To support financial decision-making by Board of Trustees and other
stakeholders through collecting, analyzing, investigating, and preparing
standard and ad hoc reports required from time to time. The position
prepares periodic and annual financial statements and ensures statutory
accounts integrity and supports the work of Auditors. Manages
PETROFUND’s investments in a manner that ensures best possible
returns. The position works closely with various stakeholders for
furtherance of PETROFUND’s objectives. In addition, this position drafts,
reviews and implements approved financial policies and procedures to
ensure compliance and good governance.

 Prepares PETROFUND’s financial statements and management accounts
(Variance report, statement of cashflows, Statement of CI, Statement of
FP, Investment reports, Debtors Aging Report, etc.) by collecting data,
analysing and investigating variances ;
 Prepares periodic and annual financial statements and reports in standard
formats by assembling all relevant financial data for submission to
stakeholders and statutory compliance;
 Guides the implementation of audit outcomes and finance related Board
resolutions according to priority areas;
 Monitors all spending to ensure that expenses are within approved budget;
 Assists the CEO with the monitoring of implementation of financial
controls within the company.
 B. Accounting or related Accounting Degree. An Honours Degree in
Accounting will be an added advantage.
 Accounting software such as Pastel and MS Suite.
 Valid Driver’s License.
 At least 3 years’ experience on month-end and year-end activities and
the preparation of IFRS compliant AFS and management reports.
Experience in investment management is required.
